Builders,

Welcome to Repo's first issue of 2026. We're kicking off the year with where our investors see the biggest opportunities in health tech, resources from Major League Hacking winners, and a look at what happened in December.

But first: Add your profile in the Student Repo Directory if you haven’t already. Our Founders are actively flipping through it. Our New Year’s resolution: connecting more of you to opportunities in our portfolio.

In today’s issue:

Builder Prompt 002: Breakthrough Ideas to Build in Health

The Gap

Technology isn’t the hard part in healthcare anymore. Coordination and trust are. We’re seeing AI move faster in healthcare than ever before. Teams are building faster and leaner, reaching patients sooner, and challenging long-held assumptions about what it takes to deliver quality care.

But speed alone isn’t the point. What matters are actual improvements in how people live, heal, and age.

Right now, care is fragmented, reactive, and exhausting for everyone involved. Patients bounce between tools and providers. Clinicians spend more time documenting than caring. And too many people enter the system only when there’s a problem.

This is Your Opportunity

Our health investors are seeing opportunities in three areas. If you're building in health tech, here's what they're watching:

  1. Longevity care tools - Apps that help people manage chronic conditions, track biomarkers, or coordinate care across multiple doctors

  2. AI-first triage - Tools that handle initial patient questions/symptoms before a human clinician steps in

  3. Preventive health tracking - Wearables and apps that catch health issues early using real-time data

Building in one of these? Reply to this email - we can intro you to investors in this space.

HACKERS OF THE MONTH

We sat down with NYUHacks winners — Sparsh Bahadur, Kushal Mamillapalli, Siddhant Bhatnagar, Yashraj Patel — at the Reach office to ask them the important questions: favorite hackathon snacks, best tools, and who's most likely to drop out of school to start a company.

Their winning project: AutoCPT, automates medical billing by extracting CPT codes from doctor-patient conversations and generating bills through the Capital One API.

Their resource to share: A GitHub repo with 500+ Summer 2026 internships and co-ops, updated regularly: https://github.com/vanshb03/Summer2026-Internships?tab=readme-ov-file

REPO RECEIPT

- 9 builders submitted profiles in December - welcome!

- Brilliant (portfolio company) hired a summer intern from the Repo network

Pro tip: Founders care more about your "humble flex" answer than your resume. Show what you've built or what you’re obsessed about.
